THE OPPORTUNITY

If you are in the early stage of you career in resource management. and looking for a role where you can grow doing what you love at a dynamic and innovative consulting firm keep reading. We are looking for a Junior Resource Analyst to join our team at our Kelowna, Prince George or Vancouver location on a permanent full-time basis. Our preferred candidate will have knowledge with issues related to the forest industry, forest practices, and forest policy of British Columbia. In a dynamic team environment, you will draw on the skills of a large group of other resource analysts and specialists and have the potential of occasional fieldwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data manipulation, forest estate modelling, and resource planning; and
  • Contribute to projects managed by project teams in areas such as, but not limited to, ecosystem analysis, wildfire management, silviculture and forest planning, environmental and forest enhancement, forest carbon accounting, timberland valuation, and urban forestry.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a recognized university forestry degree program
  • Excellent written and oral English language communication skills
  • Organized, self-motivated and team-oriented
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and have exceptional organization skills;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience with programming languages (SQL/Python/etc); and
  • International forestry experience.
